Application Architect - eHealth Platform (Freelance)

We're supporting a major public sector / eHealth initiative in Brussels and are looking for an experienced Application Architect to join the project.

In this role, you will:

• Design and evolve a scalable architecture (Hexagonal, DDD)
• Guide and coach development teams in technical decisions
• Align with stakeholders to ensure business needs are translated into robust, future-proof solutions
• Work in a multilingual environment where collaboration across domains is key
• Tech stack: Java 17+, Spring Boot, Angular 18+, PostgreSQL.
  Nice-to-haves: Archimate (or similar), WebComponents.

Requirements:

• Solid background in Java/Spring Boot architecture
• Experience with DDD and modern architectural practices
• Strong communicator with proven coaching skills
• Trilingual: French, Dutch & English (active knowledge required)
• Location: Brussels (hybrid)

• Duration: Initial 12 months, with extensions possible
