About the role

The primary role of the Project Manager is to work closely with customers to drive the successful delivery of IT projects.
The Project Manager will facilitate the management of scope for the customer’s requirements, plan implementations and deliver to the planned scope and budget.
As Project Manager you will be part of the Transversal Services and report to the Manager Transversal Services. Transversal Services is a part of the Foundation & Transversal Services Team at Ypto and is responsible for important Technical Building Blocks, UX&Testing Services and Software Delivery Center of Excellence. The topics for 2024 will be:

  • A number of migration & consolidation projects
  • Preparing for the arrival of new building blocks
  • Transversal Lifecycle Management initiatives

All projects are planned to be delivered together with our preferred partner who handles the technical aspects.
 

Key responsabilities

  • Leads project delivery from beginning to end;
  • Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders;
  • Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents following the company’s standard;
  • Drafts and submits budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary as per defined process;
  • Ensures that project meets its deliverables in agreed schedule, as per the scope, within stipulated budget and as per the quality standards;
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team lead and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion;
  • Ensures project or service scope and deliverables are defined and agreed with all relevant parties;
  • Liaises with IT Teams on an ongoing basis;
  • Diagnoses and evaluates potential risks and issues throughout the project and executes appropriate plans to mitigate them. Reports regularly to the Manager and Stakeholders with regard to risks,
  • Be a key member of the overall Transversal Services Team

Your profile

  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience with project management
  • Affinity with IT and its complexity
  • Experience within Public Sector will also be considered an asset

  • Demonstrated “can do” work ethic coupled with effective time management and ability to overcome ambiguously or under-defined problems
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodology and SAFe (Essentials) are considered an asset
  • ITIL Certification. A Project Methodology Certification is MUST.
  • Can facilitate Steerco, project update meetings and guide resources.
  • Possesses the ability to communicate, present and produce documentation on various levels for differing audiences
  • Proficient in Dutch or French, and English.

  • Must have legal authorisation to work in Belgium.
  • Able to work in hybrid work regime: remotely and on site
